Occupational Therapy

Our licensed occupational therapists help individuals of all ages regain, develop or master everyday skills in order to live independent, productive and satisfying lives.

Sugar Land Health Care Center’s occupational therapists assist individuals with all types of activities such as using a computer, writing, reading, dressing, cooking, eating, driving, grooming and bathing and much more. We help educate family members and caregivers on the best way to help your loved one through therapy.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY MAY INCLUDE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:

Our therapists first assess individuals in order to develop their Activities of Daily Living (ADL). For example: our first goal to an individual with physical disabilities would be to help them learn how to perform daily routines such as dressing, grooming, bathing and eating safely on their own.

Once those skills are mastered by the individual, our trained Sugar Land Health Care Center team of therapists will assist in developing a program tailored to the person to help them perform tasks such as participating in education, caring for a home and family, seeking and maintaining employment and more.
